Ann McLachlan
Ann lives and works on a small croft on the shores of Loch Etive, Argyll, in the highlands of Scotland. She worked for many years as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist and the skills essential in that work, knowledge of anatomy and physiology with keen observational skills, transfer easily to her painting.
Studying form, detail, and movement to get the essence of her subjects, she paints in a realist style, exploring her emotional connections to them - such as her local village culture or her dramatic natural surroundings.
